The idea that stayed
The idea behind Prarthana Preeti did not arrive as a detailed plan. I was not thinking about launching a product or building a public identity around it. The thought simply came and stayed.
I felt it was Ma and Maharajji’s way of showing me that something simple was needed: a way for people to keep these prayers close and read them wherever they were. I did not hear an instruction in words. The idea felt clear, and I felt responsible for doing what I could with it.
A form of seva I could offer
I grew up seeing devotion expressed through practical service. It could be preparing food, distributing prasad, helping a visitor or looking after a small need without making much of it.
I would never compare making an app with the years of service I saw in Kainchi. Those memories simply taught me that service does not have to look the same for every person. We offer what we can. This was something I could make useful for another person, especially when they were away from a printed prayer booklet.
With care and clarity
I made Prarthana Preeti keeping Ma and Maharajji in my mind. That does not mean I speak on behalf of Ma, Maharajji or the Trust. It means the intention behind the work came from what they have meant in my life.
I do not claim authorship of the traditional prayers. My part was to select and arrange the collection in a form that might be useful to someone else.
Update, 18 September 2026: Shri Kainchi Hanuman Mandir Trust, Kainchi Dham, has authorised Prarthana Preeti and given the initiative its blessings, support and endorsement. My husband, Sunny Bhanot, and I built the app together and continue to manage it independently. It is not an official app operated or managed by the Trust.
Close at hand
When someone feels the need to pray, I wanted the words not to feel far away. The screen is only a means. The prayer remains the prayer, and the intention with which someone reads it remains their own.
